Think hard, and think worst case scenario. Have $1000 in cash to do maintenance, and another grand on tap in case. Use every system and ask about the blown subwoofer you don't know about yet.

I was in dealership last Thursday test drove around the lot, looks and sounds good. negotiated to $9950 from original $11K they were asking . I even brought up timing belt job which needs to be done , however they ae not coming down of 9950. what about subwoofer , I am not familiar with it, is this known issue ?and how can I test it?

The question is, do YOU like the truck enough to pay $11k for it?

The subwoofer issue is that it stops working and needs to be replaced.

I wouldn't pay that much, but thats me. 2 to 3 years over priced. KBB is $8k - assumes maintenance up to date, this one should be $7000 to $7500. Ask your bank, assuming its local to you and the vehicle, what its worth.

Sub-woofer is minor. A good upgrade (Polk via Amazon) is $50 to $60 and 1 or 2 hours of your labor on a Saturday afternoon - pretty easy to do.

I checked Auto Trader and Cars.com , what they are asking is not off the chart, perhaps because it is winter now and these cars are in demand.
