what is this for? some kind of tuner portal? 2007 JKUR.

Hey folks. I bought this 2007 JKUR a few months ago and have wondered what this was for. It looks like some kind of tuner hookup?
It goes through the bulkhead to the fuse box. Its definitely aftermarket, just not sure what it is.

I ask because if its extraneous, then im going to remove it while I wire in my lightbar.

it looks like the security feature they used to put in cars, there would have been a little key thing that inserts to use the vehicle. when you park you take it and it doesn't start.

Ok. i wondered that. I use to have one on a car back in 1992. I figured they wouldnt have used these on a newer car.
anyhow, its got some kind of chip that bridges the terminals so I am assuming it is inert or now useless.
Ill pull it out.
