What is your favorite pick for an 80 series rear bumper?

4x4 Labs. I think it is my favorite upgrade on my truck.

Great info, links, and pictures guys. I'm leaning towards the Hannah, Slee, and Kaymar bumpers. For me the departure angle isn't so critical to me as to feel the need to cut the frame. I'm also liking the wider bumpers for a standing platform. I am not considering a custom built bumper at this time as I feel that these three offer up the functionality that I need.

Regarding the roof basket, yeah I know the concerns of weight up high on a rig but with my uses for the truck I have no choice. I need to have the flexibility to be able to stap a canoe, kayaks, containers for extra gear, etc, etc, depending on the needs of the trip. Now with a dog in tow on my outings I need to free up interior space and am hoping to reinstall my second row of seats. I am not doing crazy rock crawling and don't drive at freeway speeds in urban areas with the truck so am not concerned with emergency manuevers.

Still thinking away on the options....

I think if I could change one thing, I would want a jerry can holder on the back too.

I don't always want one but occasionally it is nice to carry extra fuel or water so came up with a solution for my Slee bumper...

Very nice! I was thinking along the same lines but perhaps mount the can 90deg. from how you have it.

I went with an Iron Pig rear with 4x4 Labs dual swing outs.

I had the old version slee rear bumper and tire carrier on my 80. it seemed a bit bulky, but was way overbuilt. I could drop onto it off a ledge with my rear tires in the air and not hurt a thing. not the best departure angle, but excellent quality. also liked the hold open lock, and it never rattled at all. Slee builds great stuff. I do like the hanna and 4x4 labs bumpers too though, because you can get can carriers for those.

If you have a need to tow, only the Kaymar is 'rated' for towing. Slee and Hanna both make quality bumpers. I've not personally seen 4x4 labs, but as you can see from responses here it's got a lot of good comments too.

Don't rule out the ARB rear bumper either. While it has slightly less clearance than the others it has some features that make it a better choice for some. Towing rated, modular design in which you can have left or right tire carriers, or both, or jerry cans, etc. Or none at all. The design is not a 'one-piece' meaning that say you were to take a hard hit to one of the wings, you could buy that piece individually and replace it on the vehicle, same for the top plate, the swings, etc, all replaceable.

I've installed just about all the 80 Series options, there isn't one that I don't like, all of the players have come up with clean built units, straightforward to install, etc.

Love my 4x4labs rear bumper with dual swingouts! I chose the 4x4labs because of the dual swingouts. I considered the HannaQuality but for almost the same price I prefer the 4x4labs one, looks better & has better departure angle. Cutting the frame wasn't really a big deal at least for me.

I forgot to mentione that towing was an important option that I wanted to keep with the new setup. Kurt, thanks for the feedback on the ARB. That is a strong possibility and I like the optional accesory list for it too. Hmmm.

I will be buying a Kaymar, towable, full of options you can add on later, dual tire carrier
