What leafs are recommended

cr500taco - I'm doing almost the same thing that you are. Running around on an intermediate set up until I can spring for coil overs. I am using the 5 leaf Wheeler's/Alcans and Bilstine 5100's and am not having any problems with them at all. I also have the Timbren bump stops (you can adjust the height on the rear with spacers, just give the factory a call) and they keep the suspension from breaking things when you start getting frisky on a trail or opening her up on a dirt road and then find a 2' deep pothole.

It works with my load ok. 2013 double cab taco, commercial topper, tools, bedside and roof racks for at least 500lbs. I would probably have Alcan custom build the next leaf pack and use race runners for the shocks.

no experience with the other brands but my ome dakar's on my double cab have been great. It is a daily driver and is generally empty in the bed, but does have a leer fiberglass cap (not sure how much it weighs). My wife drives it as well and neither of us feel it is too stiff. It definitely rides better than the stock suspension. I also loaded it up this past summer with about 1,000 lbs including our 150lb great dane bouncing around in the back, and completed a cross country trip. We went over medano pass, engineer pass, and fins and things in moab(hmm maybe I need to do a trip report?) with no problems.

luck with your decision, it sounds like these are all high quality options.

sort of trying to revive this thread, but I had/have OME dakars with an AAL. I noticed they were pretty flat unloaded so I contacted ARB and then sent me new ones. Still flat. I have a CBI swingout and carry a full load out. 15 gals of water 10 gals of gas. and when I get ready for a trip, they have a negative arch. Are custom deavers my answer?
