What regular tools are part of your camp gear?

Last time I went out car-camping at a known dispersed campsite, I took along an electric weed-whacker. I know the sites get overgrown, and the cut grass helped make a nice pad for my tent.

Although not a tool per se, it is a quick and easy derivative of a common item.

It's a platter from an old disk drive. Surprisingly resilient, lightweight, unbreakable, mirrored finish (note the reflection - this one is several years old already), and the center hole makes it useful when signaling.

Here's a new addition: a couple of soldering coppers (or irons).

Very old school. And perfect if you need to solder wires, fuel lines, or whatever on the trail. Just heat them in a fire - having two makes the job go faster since you can round-robin.

I tinned them both so that they are ready to go.

Heavy Duty aluminum foil and mechanics wire.
I've fashioned so many crude cooking instruments from the two because I forgot to pack something.
Those two plus a multitool make up my most used "tools" when camping.

My DeWalt sawzall, it will cut up firewood like no tomorrow and you don't smell like a chainsaw afterward, although we do take the chainsaw sometimes if we are expecting any winter deadfall on some trails.

That'd be handy for clearing trails too (the occasional fallen branch) - I never thought of a sawzall for that...
