Looks a lot like the Warn option which I hated once I saw it in person, it sticks out way too far.

If it isn't compatible with an EcoBoost, it won't work anyway.

I think I'm leaning towards a front bumper with a receiver and a removable winch. That way it could be used at either end of the truck depending on the situation.

If the time comes that I feel I need a winch....

Almost zero winch mounts are compatible with the Ecoboost, because they block airflow to the intercooler. You can either relocate the intercooler, or you can use a mount that locates the winch above the intercooler air inlet in the bumper, like this one from Sterling Equipment.
