What's going on with "Lock n Roll" hitches?

I have bad experience with Lock 'n Roll last year. They tend to stop caring about customers and service back then. May be this was one of the reasons AT switched away from them.

Basically I was building a trailer and asked for a 360 degree hitch. Paid and waited for delivery. They are in Mi and I'm in ON, so its 6hr drive from them to me. After a month of not receiving anything I tried to call back, left many messages and then after a week I finally got someone on the other side of the line. So I asked what the status and was given an answer: "Sorry, we forgot about you". Ok, its happens, so "Send me the one". Another month pass, no package. Calling again for a week - same answer. "Could you make sure you ship it ths time?" - "Yes". 3 weeks later and nothing. Calling them back again (few days to get hold of someone) - "what is going on with my order?" - "We decided to drop it" - "Why?" - no answer. Lucky I paid with VISA, so my money is back. Same evening I called Martin from AT and 4 days later I found nice box on my porch with MaxCoupler. Completly different customer experience - Great Service Martin, if you read this.
I also heard that some other people had troubles with getting LnR too.

P.S. My Max Coupler works amazingly silent and perfect.

:sombrero: I've also got two size Lunettes and the L&R

I can use either lunette for a recovery point, in front or back and as an emergency towing hitch, should something happen to the L&R :)Wow1:)

Ya gotta be prepared

I DID NOT jack knife my trailer when I bent the coupler. Granted I was wheeling pretty hard with a trailer that is probably 2,000lbs, but the coupler is rated to 6,000lb.

I was aware of the potential problem before I bought the coupler, so I asked them about it at the time of purchase. They assured me if I had any problems that they would replace it for free.

I contacted LnR immediately upon my return. For seven weeks now I have called them almost daily and got the same thing, "It should be ready later this week..." "It will be another week..."

I just spoke to them again after I was told (last week) that it would ship today. They told me that they "hoped" it would be ready by the end of the week. I told them they need to refund my money ASAP, and that I simply can't wait any longer.

Although I have not done any business with AT, I would not suggest buying from LnR...

Not surprising, but they didn't refund my money. So I called them again today and told them they hadn't yet refunded my money. He said he'd "get to it later this afternoon". I told him his word was no longer any good with me as he's been feeding me a line for the last 7 weeks, and that he needed to refund my money while I was on the phone with him. He said he needed to do it over the phone with the CC company. I told him he'd need to call me back (something they haven't done the entire time I've been dealing with them) right away to confirm this was completed.

He called back, but I haven't seen the money hit my account.

My advice based on experience: Stay away from these guys!

Caveat emptor...
