Wheel Bearing/Hub for '96 Jeep GC

I need to replace my passenger side hub/bearing and figured I may as well do both sides while I'm at it. Anyone have suggestions as to brand I should get?

Timken. I have had a lot of different brands, you dont want the cheap crap here. Timkens are the way to go for unit bearings.

Timken x3, don't get cheap crap from autozone or whatever as they don't hold up... The sucky part is the auto parts stores don't carry the good stuff, they usually have to order it.

Sorry to be that guy but have gotten a bad batch, yes batch of Timken hubs I feel they are WAY over rated. There was a period of time where I was warrenteeing a hub every couple of months. Dont know the issue or if it was a flaw that Timken has corrected etc but I have been running a set of OEM hubs I found at the pull a part for $10 for several years and they still roll as smooth as the day I threw them in the wheel barrow:costumed-smiley-007

Agreed. I had a set of Timkens go bad after only a few months. And yes, they were properly torqued. Since that happened, I've jumped off the Timken bandwagon.

Now I just run whatever I can find. I've had an off-brand on the MJ for a year now with no problems. And if I have to replace my unit bearings every once in a while, it's no big deal. I can swap them out pretty quickly

And I do carry a spare.
