Have you heard anything about the ******** Cepek mt tire?
I have a set of ******** Cepek Mud Countrys on my '06 V8 4Runner. I have only a few miles on them, few off-highway, so not really ready to write a report yet...
But they are relatively quiet for a M/T, just like I heard before buying them, and
do have more siping than most "mud-terrain" tires. However, we had such a light winter here this year I can't comment on their ice traction. They are not the most aggressive "mud" tire, but still have lots of void compared to anything less than an aggressive mudder (much more than an A/T or even a 50/50 tire like the new Cooper S/T MAXX). If they came in a 285/70R17 for my Tundra I would have purchased a second set for that truck.
They were an absolute
steal several months ago through my local Discount Tire, only $200 each for a 285/75R16. Of course tires prices have been going up often, seems like every month. In that 16" 285 size they are a load-range D
with a 3-ply sidewall, a perfect combination for me.
