Similarly, mine all come to the engine bay and are several inches above the engine's air intake.

So I think I can how that works. Just fit it on the end of the line and it can expand/contract without ever letting air or water in or out???

I've also got the front breathers up on the firewall near the brake booster, and the rear behind the tail light.

I have my transmission, transfer case, & steering reservoir routed up to the firewall, front diff is up at the top of the inner fender under the hood, rear diff is up inside the upper bed rail.

Currently using these Summit Racing breather vents -
