The highest rated 17” tire available is the Toyo MT 37x13.50 at 4300#. You specified 17” in your first post. The method NV HD is rated at 4500#.

That is really your only option in 17”.

In 18”, there are tons of 4080# tires available.

That Method NV HD is great, except the offset is not appropriate and at 8 1/2" a bit narrow for 12.5 or 13.5 tyres, but just acceptable?
I had been looking at 9 - 10?
This is the best I have seen though, thanks for that.
And that Toyo tyre looks the goods too? Grateful for that.

17" seems to be a size that offers good (and improving) choice and competitive prices.

yes, this is the trend, the ideal pick might not exist today, but it is the wave, choices are bound to improve

And that is OK because I don't need to buy tyres or rims yet and the existence of that Method NV HD is very encouraging that what I need may well be on the way in the near future, so rather than compromise now, I will bide my time for a bit longer.
