I have the bolt together All-Pro rack on my 2010 Tacoma. It was a royal pain to assemble, and I can't see it coming apart again for any reason. I would just weld it together if I was doing it again. Also, I would run wires through the tube when I assembled it so I can hook 12 volts into my tent and wire up some rear lighting on the rack without having to have wires showing. The rack wasn't my first choice but I needed it in a hurry. It is plenty strong and well made. But, if I was doing it again I would make, or have made, a similar system from aluminium to save weight and avoid corrosion.

Thanks, Ya i just got off the phone with all pro and they recommended the Weld together kit. I found it on ebay from them for 339 plus shipping but they also told me they will be producing an aluminum bolt together kit soon. idk if i should wait or not lol

Is it the bolt together or the weld kit? short bed or long bed? anything you didnt like about all pro's? I found their weld together kit on ebay for 339. I've heard ARB's new one is pretty good to though.

Unfortunately, we have no plans at this time to produce a bed rack. We had a local fabrication shop build the rack to our specifications to show you (our customers) another option to mounting our roof top tents and other accessories. A rack like this can be easily fabricated to your specifications by any shop that builds custom roll cages.

Bolt together, short bed. I don't see any advantage with the weld together version. Weight difference would be minimal. And if anything the bolt together is stronger. All the tubes are sleeved 2-3" on both sides. It took some effort to get it assembled. The rack is extremely strong. I can walk on it while mounted on the truck; there is absolutely no flex or movement. I'm surprised by all the negative comments. This rack has the superior fitment and design of any I've seen custom or pre-fab. The height is perfect (just above rear window but lower than roof line - less drag). Honestly, I don't like the ARB Taco rack design - that's just my preference. I'm only selling because I decided to go with the AutoHome tent and canopy setup instead. Otherwise, I'm perfectly happy with it.

I would love a bed rack. I go back and forth on the height. Low with an RTT or high so it can double as a lumber rack for work.

How is the access to the bed with the All-Pro being low? Anyone?

I've been attempting to resolve that very same quandary...

Currently, I have to manually position the tent, either up or down. Requires 4 hands EG 2 people - though I can do it alone if I climb into the bed of the truck.

Using an block & tackle lifting arrangement, I can left the entire RTT (including the supporting and lifting framework) off the basic 2 hoop rack

Thanks Plannerman, I just contacted Pelfreybilt and their wait time is 6 weeks, and they ship fully welded so the freight is crazy money. Looks like im going to go with the all pro weld together kit on ebay for 339 OBO unless anyone has any horror stories about them lol

That's a bummer, sorry to not a have a better option.

Hey Wainiha, Our bed rack is low enough to give it that sleek look but high enough to not be miserable trying to load and unload your supplies. With our weld together kit you can actually raise the height 5 inches from the standard bolt together. Here is a picture of the bolt together on the lowest height setting. Hope this helps.
