Why did I wait so LONG!

Haven't owned a Toyota in 28 years. :Wow1:

First car (used) purchased by me, 1974 FJ40 (19 years old).

First new car, 1981 Toyota 4X4 truck.

Insert 28 years of life, divorce(s), family cars, bad cars...

Even played in the Jeep arena for a while.
Yesterday I got out of this...:iagree:

I'm very excited to start the build process on the FJ. It will take some time, but it will be fun...

you will be pleasantly surprise at how well your FJC handles off road... I really like that 40 you had but there is something to be said for creature comforts when you spend all day on two tracks.

Thanks, I can't wait to take it out. It is my DD (as was the Jeep). I'm in sales and my annual driving has steadily increased over the last few years (~25K now).

The Jeep was horrible as a long range DD. It was very capable offroad, on-road it was slow, noisy, underpowered, and did I mention noisy...

The FJ will suite me much better. :smiley_drive:

Well the Jeep you replaced looks NICE...But the Toyota is far and away a better truck on so many levels... I'd have had a hard time selling both the 40series AND that gorgeous SFA P/U. WELCOME back to the world of quality 4x4's ;)

Cheers

Dave
