Why isn't the Ford Ranger a popular expedition vehicle?

I have a 2000 xlt ranger with the flex 3.0 and auto trans, had it 13 years and have used it for things beyond what any ranger should be able to do, I currently run 32" tires now (had 33-1250 on stock wheels and suspension) with a fleetside box due to step side falling apart, with the fleet side I now have a topper with a home made roof rack and my 4 man tepui tent on it,I have done 2000 miles worth of overland trips with it this year and only issue was clutch fan locked up.i cram 5 people in this 2 dogs and all my gear and it goes where I point it although sometimes not as fast as I want it to go.this is one of my rigs I will never sell
