Smart idea, I didn't even consider that! I will look!@Dave in AZ - one thing you can try is rent these vehicles for a few days. Apps like Turo is great for that.

It is now! That's why it got a lot cheaper...Tacoma based Landcruiser? Wut?
Oh wow, I guess I still don't immediately think of the 250 as a Landcruiser hahaIt is now! That's why it got a lot cheaper...
No one local 30 miles in Phx has a Highlander, Landcruiser, Grand Highlander, 4Runner, or Sequoia! Can't believe it. A few have these in transit, already sold, that I might see if I time it fast. They basically have 4cab Tacoma and Rav4.My advice is to see what she wants to drive. My wife would refuse to drive anything that big (three rows).....I'm thinking about getting her a Lexus RX.
The Highlander is going away soon, so I'd lean towards a Grand Highlander. The Lexus version (TX) will ride and handle even better.
Honda Pilot and Nissan Pathfinder are both 3 row with normally aspirated V6, fwiw.
Now that we're leaving the Toyota only world, my 2 VW Atlas have been rock solid, snow beasts family haulers. Yeah people slam VW quality, but they all use the same suppliers now and mine have been solid choices. I've seen a few that went off road places that you wouldn't think a city car would go. Plus the 3rd row is massive. Two huge adults can actually sit in there and not regret it.
