I usually bring "to much beer" if you count what I bring back but I like to have some to share for those who didnt plan correctly. I drink cheap when I am wheeling for the weekend and save the good stuff for sitting at home on the deck. I usually plan for 8-10 a night by the fire, no drinking on the trails!

I LOVE Double Bastard, but every sip is like being punched in the face by, well, a gargoyle. Most often I'll bring Arrogant Bastard with me camping if I desire ale. Though recently I've been getting into saisons. Stone needs more saisons.

Generally, I love me some Lagunitas.
But the Stone specialty brews (like the oak barrel aged ones, etc.) really are hard to beat.

Stone is some good stuff. Just got back from san diego. I went to Karl Strauss, Monkey Paw, Mission and Coronado and all had some good brews. Never made it to Stone but a had several while at the local bars!

Its better to have it and not need it that to need it and not have it (LOL) which is why I bring the 24 pack of Hamm's along with a 12 pack of Rainier or a bottle of my favorite Canadian Whiskey. Having too much is cheap insurance for those times when my wife decides she whats to throw a few back (I can predict that as good as the weather) or when someone invites 'that guy' who takes a six pack with one already missing and expects it to last all weekend

I'm a six pack of quilty beer and a fifth of whisky kind of guy. The beer is usually for lunch and sharing with others and then normally I put down a good portion of the whisky hanging out around the campfire.
