Hey all, I'm in the market for a 1st gen tundra and I figured that would mean I have to sell my Wildernest that came off a 2nd gen Tacoma. I got to thinking and I'd LOVE to figure out a way to fit the 'nest onto the Tundra, but has that ever been done before? I've scoured google for pics of one but can't find any- if anyone has seen or heard of a project like this please let me know, any and all advice appreciated!

Do you mean modifying your current Wildernest to fit on a Tundra? The Tundra is wider and bed is longer. All that time and fab work will mean $$$. You're better off finding another solution, I would say. Unless you have the fab skills and resources.

I bought a full size short bed nest and tried: the nest was too wide by a couple of inches and too long by about half a foot. Sold it rather than make flanges to get it to fit.

Thanks Ghostshaper, that's good to know. After looking up the bed size differences between the 2nd gen taco and 1st gen Tundra I think it would only be about 3in too narrow, and maybe an inch or two too short, although when it was on my taco it actually overhung off the back by an inch or two. The way I pictured fitting it was to bolt something to the bed rails to overhang a couple of inches into the bed and then rest the Wildernest on that... Wouldn't look perfect but i'm thinking it could be functional and not require modifying the wildernest too much.
