Will 255/75r17 fit 06 taco?

Okay, I am thinking I might pick up some used 17 inch toyota sport rims to replace my stock 16inchers on my 06 double cab non trd. If I do this then I can take the tires off the wifes JK rubi (255/75 r17) and then buy a little bigger tire for the jeep. :D
Not sure that the 255s will fit? The wife is out of town so I can't take any measurements and I have found a swinging deal on rims. Anyone have any experience with this size and a stock taco? I have the dealer replaced rear packs and bilsteins in the front and dont want to mess with a lift.

TIA

The 255's will fit the Taco.

But, with no lift they will fill up those wheel wells and may eat fender flares IMO, especially if you take it off road.

They may fit OK. They are what, about a 1/2 inch taller then a 265/75 16, so a true 32" tire? 265/75 16's are what I've been running and there is plenty of room with stock rims, I would guess that tacking another 0.5 inches onto that wouldn't cause be problem.

thanks for the input, I think I am just going to stick with the stock rims and go with 265s.
