Will this plan work

I haven't got around to tracking down the non-op 4 wheel drive on my 97 SR yet but I do have some Locking hubs.

I am planning on installing the locking hubs, crawling under the rig and engaging the front axle.

Now I will have a manual 4 wheel drive. I can leave the hubs open, TC in 2wd for DD duty, lock the hubs TC in 4h for AWD and lock the TC for 4 wheel drive.

Any problems with the plan?

No, that just works.

Also try engaging and disengaging the transfer case repeatedly after cleaning and oiling the disconnect shaft. Usually makes the system start working again.

When the weather cools down I'll crawl around it some more and fix the 4x4. It's not getting vacuum to the actuator.
