Make sure that all cable connections are clean and tight (especially the ground). Do not use the vehicle frame for ground- run cable directly to the battery.

Why not use the frame as a ground? I am currently using the frame point that the battery ground is on.

Simply because you get a better earth direct to better

All connections have been cleaned and are tight. I run the ground directly to the battery. Have not had a chance to take it a part. Will let you all know what I find.
