I don't see how the video is really relevant. It only tests the frame, not the tow points. You'll notice they custom built a loading frame that goes around the weak tow points of the vehicle so they could even do this. Way too much drama for something that should be a simple test. And its only testing the tensile strength of the steel frame beams, not the flex or load bearing capacity.
So its an overly dramatic, misleading vid about how strong a frame is. I guess its saying that if you need an extra car length of tow rope, you can hook this thing up and use it as an extension? Is there really any real world equivalent to this test?
