I run 235/85 BFG KO's on my Tacoma and I've got all the traction and control I NEED in snow. I frequent the canyons during the winter and also spend time up near Jackson, WY. Thus far, no traction issues. KO's have performed solid. Snow tires MIGHT be better on packed snow, but not by much. KO's are also severe service rated. This will be my second winter on these 235's and I'm looking forward to it.
On my DD Honda, I am going to run snow tires (some cheapo no names). I've found I honestly can't tell any difference running Blizzaks/Hakkas to Hankook/cheapo tires. Made it up the canyon in a RWD BMW E30 running some no name snow tires with snow pounding down.
EDIT: I guess I should've looked to see if there was a third page. Oops. Those Blizzaks should get you through the winter just fine. Drive safe.
