Adventurer
These are my first intruders I've tied, thought I'd share. Mine are sparse, and only 4-5" long(I'm casting with a single hander right now, and am confident in a smaller offering) , I know some that swim very full 8" long flies.
Here's the man himself talking about the intruder: [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OeaN-QospwE"]YouTube - Skagit Master bonus material--Ed Ward and the Intruder[/ame]
Notice how the fly looks in the water and how the different materials react. IMO this leads to a lifelike fly that will move and undulate naturally as swung in a rivers currents.
Cheers-Terry
