Winter Trip to the Swell

A handful of us diehards braved low temps in the early morning and headed out to the Utah desert and the San Rafael Swell yesterday for the last trail run of the year. Despite some issues and trouble with both my drone and Jeep, I still had a great time!

We started at the Chimney Rock Road, turned down Buckhorn Wash and checked out the Mat Warner signature, the Buckhorn Pictograph panel, then continued on to the Lone Warrior, Swasey Cabin and then down into Eagle Canyon and the bridges over I70. We did plenty of stopping, playing and exploring along the way. Once the sun started going down we found the pavement and headed home!

Thanks for the excellent company Russ (and boys), Jeremy (and girls) and Marty!

Russ found a GeoCache at the Mat Warner signature, so we checked it out.

Nice! Thanks for posting...I need to get my video and editing game going!!

Appreciate it!

I have been having fun with the filming & editing footage of trips, I still have a lot of work to get where I want to but so far I think I'm doing alright. ;)
