Wire gauge for battery connections.

I'm installing a battery switch to isolate the batteries on the FG. Can anyone tell me the proper gauge for the wires to and from the batteries? 4 gauge cables which are common in auto parts stores are smaller than the FG cables. Is 2 gauge acceptable or should I use 2/0 gauge? 2 gauge=.25" 2/0 gauge=.36"

Some googling has revealed that it should be at least 2/0 gauge.

2/0 is what I used when I added 2 more batteries. I have the original 2 batteries for the FG plus 3 for the cabin.
