Wired Rear-View Camera/Monitor - any (current) recommendations or cautions?

What about going beyond just a rear view camera? TrailVision supports up to 4 cameras. Rear, front, and both sides are common set ups. Allows you to spot yourself on the trails.

That looks like a fairly nice system, but at $1,000.00 regular price for their 4 camera system, it better be gold plated. I don't see anything in that system any different from the components in any Chinese system available on eBay or Amazon for a couple of hundred bucks.

It does have DVR capability, but even that is not worth an additional $800.00.

Just my opinion, but for that price I would expect commercial grade equipment like we have on my Department's Ambulances and Fire Trucks.

I waved as I flew by this morning. Flew out of West Palm Beach, on my way back home.

I need multiple cameras too, so I'm very interested in this system also. The equipment itself looks to be pretty well made and somewhat heavy duty, but the picture quality will be the real test.

Once you get it going, maybe you can post a couple (day and night) photos of the screen with a picture on it.

It looks like you got the last one, but he does have other packages available.

He has a few different monitor packages, and he will substitute and create packages for you. For example, had I gone with the two-camera capable monitor package ($70), he would have substituted the included single camera with the dual-double camera for another $40. I went with the 3 camera monitor with a single camera ($100) and just added on the dual-double camera (for another $70).

The stuff looks well build and heavy duty, but the quality and performance of the guts inside is the concern. My thought is that everyone here seems to be happy with their $20-$30-$40 cameras, so I took a chance that these will work and last.

I will revisit this thread and post pics of my system when I get it installed. I'm very much in a parts-collecting mode right now though so I doubt I'll rush out and install it when it shows up, my spare/project time is booked up through this weekend at least with another project.
