Wiring up power seats in FJ62

After having my FJ62 for 7 years, I've just now discovered this forum. 1988, OME lift (coming off, going a different direction now), Saab power seats, custom bumper and lights, and some bonus speedholes from living in the northeast.

I've had a brief affair with a Eurovan Weekender, but really prefer my truck, so the van got sold, and I'm finishing some projects on the cruiser.

First up is wiring up the electric seats.

I've had some bad advice (hook it up to the heater circuit) that led to some big electrical problems.

Now I've got the rest of my electrics dialed again, I want to hook up the seats properly, but I can't quite piece together what I should be doing. There's partial information in some threads on ih8mud, still not enough to get my head around.

I know I need to run new lines from an accessory fuse block on the battery, and somehow add a switched relay from the ignition so they only draw power when the truck is on, but I'm at a loss as to where to get the right parts, and the right way to put them together, as well as where to find the right switched lead to use for the relay, or where to tap one.

I also need to figure out where to source a switch for my driving lights. My current switch plate is broken.

I just finished swapping some BMW seats into my Tacoma. I haven't been able to figure out yet if they're heated, but the adjustments were easy to power since all the switches are attached to the seat. There were two larger gauge wires, one brown and one red that seem to power everything. I just used an old 14v drill battery and made educated guesses until it worked.

I am running it from a fused connection direct from the battery. I wouldn't worry too much about having constant power to the seat unless you think somehow one of the switches could get held on.

One thing I haven't figured out yet is how to get the memory buttons to work, and it may be impossible without the Bimmer's computer connected to it.

What you need is the wiring information (schematic) for the seats. The FJ62 is the irrelevant portion of the equasion at this point. Once you know which wires need what on the seat, the rest is easy. If you can find that, I can walk you through the rest. PM or e-mail me if you need any help.
