In Conclusion

The grandeur of the mountains, solitary remoteness of the western deserts, and never-ending sky of the Great Plains will never cease to move me. These places are all special and I am grateful to have the opportunity to visit them. However, their beauty is usually accompanied by a feeling of vague uneasiness, that I don't really belong in those lands. Here in the Midwest, I feel at home. There is something peaceful about the mild landscape that surrounds the area of Wisconsin where I live.

As a midwesterner that grew up with hills and trees I get what you are saying.

Get me out west like in western Nebraska, South Dakota or Wyoming where you can watch your dog run away for 3 days... and I kind of like a cockroach caught in the middle of a kitchen floor when the lights are turned on. Although there is no real need for it the lack of any kind of cover kinda gnaws at me.

Please consider this an echo of others sentiments about your writing. Anyone who can make the ultimate boring trip across Nevada..on U.S. 50 yet..interesting deserve the platitudes you are receiving. Thanks.

It was a couple decades ago but chose HWY 50 to get from WY to CA. I thought it was very cool. "The Loneliest Road in America" It was going to be the name of my "first" Coffee Table Book. I need to start working on that book
