Big bucks for top hat liners, especially on an older motor. Better to do a complete tear down and add top hat liners. I know you can do it Dan, er I mean Steve! (Inside joke)

Personally I am a fan of the Series 1 Disco - I think it's better looking than the S2 and it has less electric crap to go wrong. But this is a question that always causes fights and tears - Rover owners are a testy lot

Leave my testes out of this.

Agreed on the DI over the DII but that is just a personal preference. Having owned both a DI and a rangie, I am now partial to the rangie.

What do you plan to do with it, and how good are your mechanical abilities?

I want to use it as a combination of daily driver and being able to pull a adventure trailer for camping, fishing and exploration.. My mechanical skills are ok do need work though.
