Might I suggest looking at some of the small Mystery Ranch Tri-Zip Packs? I have several size variations. Love them all.

Thanks for the suggestion. I have a Mystery Ranch Front pack, but it’s not my favorite pack. I really like my older Camelbak MULE, but would like the storage space of the HAWG. Mystery Ranch does make great gear though!

In the HAWG size I have a 2-day. Love the Tri-zip and for what you’d pay for a HAWG you‘ll get a pack that a U.S. company will repair for you for the rest of your life. Dana Gleason has added a bunch of smaller packs to the line up, well worth a look.
