Campfire-in-a-can went under as a result of their Kickstarter scam. Owner collected $129K and closed up shop.
Thanks for the information. I have no idea what the "Kickstarter scam" is, but that probably explains why I have still not heard from them.
Leo Knight, the owner of Campfire-In-A-Can, started a Kickstarter project to fund final development of a 3-fuel Campfire-In-A-Can. After collecting $129,000 he began making a series of excuses as to why the project was not progressing even though he had represented that product development was complete and all that remained was to begin manufacturing and ship the product. Knight then suddenly pulled the plug on the project, closed up shop, and left his backers hanging. He never provided any details for why the project "failed" and also refused to respond to requests for an accounting of the funds collected. Coincidentally, during the same period, he completed a $100,000+ remodel of his house and launched a new business cleaning trash receptacles from the same business park where Campfire-In-A-Can was located. There is a Facebook group for individuals defrauded by Leo Knight/Campfire-In-A-Can.
I am one of the Kickstarter backers defrauded by Leo Knight. I would urge you not to do business with him or any of his companies.
If you are looking at portable propane campfires, you might consider the Quikfire, which is the most compact unit I have been able to find and the unit I purchased after I was screwed over by Leo Knight/Campfire-In-A-Can. Mike Brewer, the owner of Quikfire, is a good guy to work with, his product is fairly priced, and shipped quickly when I ordered mine.
This is what a Quikfire looks like [I added lava rock to mine for aesthetics (not shown)]:
