WTB F350 Screw Cab

My wife and I are looking for 2011+ F350 Screw Cab with a 6.2L and an 8' bed. Open to a F250 as well as a 6 3/4' box as long as its payload is over 3k. Lower the trim level the better. Pretty much everything we've seen locally has been a fleet vehicle out of Canada and has the undercarriage freshly painted. I got burned that route once. I'd rather not go there again.

Sorry for continued thread drift but what was your experience? Is this an indicator of something bad?

I went to an auction and bought a truck about 15 years ago and it lasted less than a year. Ran ok at best, but after a few months you could start seeing where the frame was in really rough shape and the engine would need some work. Its not like it wasn't drivable, but I wanted the vehicle to last if I was going to invest in it. Same as buying an older vehicle anywhere where they salt at auction. Met a few guys last night that do auction purchases. They said the same thing. If you can stay away from the Canadian fleet vehicles, do so. Its really a crap shoot to what you're getting. Just another negative factor when purchasing used.
