**bump - Still looking**
On a side note, does anyone know of a dealer in the U.S. other than Rover Accessories in Austin that carries Hannibal? I have been calling around and it appears no one is carrying them anymore.... Thank you in advance!

Thanks for the reply....
Yes, i have looked and am fairly certain it won't be difficult at all to mount another brand to the rack.....I was jut trying to stay in the Hannibal "family" and try to find their stuff.

I recently called Atlantic British and asked them directly what the situation is with Hannibal.

The response I received was that they are closing their doors. There are no distibutors in the US, A.B. is completely out of stock and the company (Hannibal) is going out of business.

This info was from the sales person that answered the phone.

That is not a good sign. I phoned Rover Acc. in Austin yesterday and was told they had a shipment in its way that was slated to arrive in a month or so. Are there any other Hannibal dealers in the States?

I actually have a Hannibal double carrier sitting in my garage. I had plans for it but it looks like I am going to go with a different approach (actually focus on an aux tank instead) as I have too much weight on the roof already. I'll know for sure in a few weeks.

If you are still looking for one at the end of February drop me a PM.

Wow, HannibalUSA is discontininuing, or the parent company in S. Africa? Their Hannibalusa.com website now points to http://www.hannibal.co.za/, so perhaps not gone altogether? They have new product announcments and so forth on their S.A. website.

Anyway, might try the FrontRunner accessories from Equipt.com. I have found their accesseries to fit the slide rails in my Hannibal rack for the LR3.

I spoke to Hannibal today and they are NOT discontinuing importing their products:wings: . Apparently their were some business issues which were resolved and I believe i was told parts will begin to arrive on shore in Q2 of this year. If you need parts, contact Rover Accessories in Austin, Tx. I spoke with Charles there and he seems like he will take good care of us in need of Hannibal 'stuff' !

Yeah I'm waiting for a Hannibal can holder tooo! I wanted to do a AT unit but figured the Hannibal's might be better with my rack.

Hey that's good news SoCal 80. Like I said, I was speaking to the salesperson that answered the phone at Atlantic British so perhaps not the most reliable source.

I wonder if there is a broken relationship between Hannibal and AB. Could be the source of the slight attitude I received.

Be cautious with Rover Accessories. He is a great guy, but he is known for promising a little bit ahead of what he can deliver. Don't pay the full amount until you have proof the product exists, is in his hands, and has shipped. I'm sure that everything will work out great, but its not like buying from Amazon where the product shows up 3 days later. He just works a little differently.
