I've been drooling over this 92 SWB for a while. It was listed at $6700 for a couple months then lowered a bit this week. Seems to be in good condition. I have not seen it in person.

Me too! So much so that I had it inspected by http://autowerks-east.com/.

Great guys at autowerks. According to them, it had hail damage, needed an exhaust manifold, and was fairly rough.

For what it's worth, the dealership was going to sell to me for $5,800. I backed out, but it does have potential.

We were at the Tucson dealer this week talking to a friend of ours who is one of the salesmen. He said a couple of weeks ago someone traded in a 1993 Range Rover with 67,000 (!) miles on it for a brand new one. Garage kept, it was in almost perfect original condition. Then gave him $2500 for it and sent it to the auto auction.

We gave him a hard time and told him if that ever happens again he needs to call us!

:(

The blue book and NADA for so little, that dealers assume they're worthless.
