How does the GEOS Search and Rescue component transfer to a new owner when you sell this used? I wonder if it's an extra fee to transfer? I can't find anything on the Delorme site about that.

You can't xfer. I never activated mine and it includes more than the new ones.

Received it today, works great!

Got it in the via UPS this afternoon. Installed NW and SW US data on 16 g SD card, installed card and lithium batteries. Fired it up, entered my name, etc., adjusted settings to match my needs, changed battery setting to Li, put in window and almost immediately it locked in the satellites.

Probably quick because I already own a PN-40 :coffeedrink:.

Jeff, do you have a registration card for it? I haven't opened up the Topo NA DVD jacket, so it may be in there.

p.s. will probably remove the Alaska maps so that I can make room for the Canada maps. I'm much more apt to be riding in southwest AB and BC than AK.
