WTS: Yamaha EF1000IS Generator

I bought it for camping, etc but never really needed it or ended up using it. I start it, let it warm up, turn off the fuel and then run a carb bowl of fuel through it every month and that has been it for the past two years. With the exception of letting my neighbors borrow it for a weekend camping trip last year, that is it. I get it serviced annually (not that it needed it) at my Yamaha dealer and it runs like new. Here is some additional info from Yamaha's website: http://www.yamaha-motor.com/outdoor/products/modelhome/442/0/home.aspx . I am told that this is the quietest generator available and Yamaha site states it is 47db while in econo mode. Amazon wants $889, eBay is going for $649 so I am thinking $550 is a great deal as it was really never used much. This would probably be a pain to ship...So i am thinking local pickup. I am in Long Beach and can work with someone to meet somewhere in SoCal if needed.

*** It also has 12v out if you need to charge batteries etc which is nice ***

Thanks!:sombrero:

This is the best generator in its class. Quietest and sips the least amount of fuel.

This is a great deal. I've already got one but I'm thinking....

That's funny, I just saw your craigslist ad in the OC section and then I see it here as soon as I clicked "Today's posts". That is a good deal though I'm on the fence about buying one of these or a powerpack (those rechargeable things). The latter seems better suited for our popup camper since they're totally silent and have enough juice to power a couple of night lights or a small fan etc. How come you didn't use it?

I equipped my trailer with (2) Odyssey batteries and have have never come close to running them down..So, the generator never got used.

Sure. I just need to figure out how best to pack it so it doesn't get damaged. I was thinking about placing it in a small ice chest with packing materials inside it.... Either way i will need to drain the oil and fuel. If you are good to go, let me know and i will drain and figure out how to get it to you this weekend. Thanks....
