This is probably a long shot but..
I have a beautiful 2000 Dodge Viper GTS ACR. Its a fantastic car, 0 cosmetic flaws, 0 rock chips, starts up in .5 seconds every time, no smoke, no lights, no problems, needs nothing could drive it to California and back right now. These cars are skyrocketing in value, and the smart move would be for me to hold onto it. However, my vehicle ADD is hitting different this month and I want something new.
Lets start with the car:
4250 miles
Clean title in hand
Comfort Group (A/C and Radio put back into car)
Recall 999 Frame gussets installed
5 Point Harness recall belts included with car
Factory power steering pulley replaced with IPSCO billet pullet and bracket (preemptive action prior to failure, only weak point on these cars)
Toyo R888R Tires put on last year. They have a treadwear of 40. They are quite sticky.
Full disclosure: On a car this original, I have to point out items that were not original to the car
- The stripes are vinyl. They are applied so close to factory application that I really thought they were factory when I bought the car. A 2000 ACR in Viper Black Clear Coat with stripes was 1/34, and a 2000 ACR in Viper Black Clear Coat without stripes is 1/38, so they are pretty similar in rarity. I really want the car to be solid black, but the stripes look so good I can't justify pulling them off.
- The wheels were chromed. Popular aftermarket modification on these cars.
- The door sill plates are stick on aftermarket, but they are pretty low-key and aren't raging chrome so I left them on.
- OEM GTS Fog lights were added as the ACR package just deletes them but leaves the wiring, so someone installed them at some point. You can pop them out in 15 minutes if and sell them if you want.
I'm the 5th owner on paper but the 4th owner in reality (2nd/3rd owner transfered ownership for tax reasons at some point, either between himself and an his LLC or something else. He had over 150? or so corvettes so I can imagine he wanted to save money.) I bought it from the 4th owner who went to owner 2/3 to buy a corvette, ended up becoming too saturated with corvettes and wanted something special, low and behold he bought the viper. He had it for a year, didn't want to chop it up and make it super aftermarket, so he sold it to me. I bought it with 3600 miles on it and drove it 6 hours back to my house. These cars have a menacing reputation, but I would compare driving it to a manual Ford Fusion around town if you stay out of the gas, it's really that tame. The number of people chasing you with their phones out the window will be a few more compared to a Ford Fusion. If you want to open it up, however, shes ready at any RPM. The V10 is a torque monster, and you have pull through the whole gear.
What am I looking for?
I don't know. I really want something diesel and over the top, but if it had to be gas I would want a raptor. I really value suspension over motor. I had a 2017 3500 Cummins with the G56 6 speed and I liked it. I also had a 1999 2500 2nd gen nv4500 5 speed with the 53 block and I loved that thing, so who knows. I've had 3 newer F150's, Still have my 81. My last F150 was a 2014 Black FX4 fully loaded with the coveted 6.2L. Rare bird that one.
I'm open to all offers to be honest, as long as the value is comparable. The one thing I don't want is an LMTV. I love cab overs, but I also love A/C.
I have plenty of pics, but they are too big to be uploaded here.
