This looks promising. Wonder if it gives your water a funny taste. I imagine it'll pick up a bunch of dirt as it retracts, but it looks like it packs small and light.

Sure looks handy, but it seems like the jury is still out on whether it is a long-term quality product. Currently running 2 to 1 against on Does This Product Work:

Sounds like there are some downsides, but I'm tempted anyway. I suspect it's shortcomings would be more tolerable if the alternative was hauling a regular or (as I do now) coiled hose.

Ugh, that video is voiced by that infomercial guy. That automatically makes me skeptical.

If you don't need tons of length or massive flow rate, I've had good luck converting the cheap spiral air hoses from Harbor Freight to water duty. No funny taste that I can sense, and they sure pack up nice and small.
