XJ 4.5" lift choices

Shopping around for lift kits. I'm hoping that ya'll can give me your experiences with Rusty's 4.5" kit (RK-405SP-XJ)
http://rustysoffroad.com/mm5/mercha...uct_Code=RK-405SP-XJ&Category_Code=sus_xj_kit

and Rubicon Express' 4.5" lift (RE6130)
http://www.rubiconexpress.com/SuspensionSystems/Product.aspx?part=RE6130

I know that Rusty had issues with quality control a few years back, but seem to have that taken care of. RE just has such a complete kit. It's hard to beat, but I've heard recent grumbling with their customer service.

Should I consider another kit from another manufacturer?

Thanks for your time.

I think Rusty's is a safe bet now. Looks like they have upped their quality. I don't think you'll be buying any RE kits anytime soon:

If you are not doing any serious crawling or desert racing the Rough Country long arm kits look pretty good too...

second on the TNT I got one used and have been running it for the last couple years. There customer service was great even thought i bought it used.

I have a friend with the rough country kit and they like it although they had to beef up a couple brackets after there first couple rides.

my xj is stock at the moment, but this summer (hopefully) i plan on going the OME route (Old Man Emu) from what i hear they are pretty much the standard in the business. extremely reliable. very quality products. and they recently came out with some long travel shocks. its a bit pricey. but IMO totally worth it.

I am in the process of weeding out my Rustys 3.5" lift. one leaf is collapsed and the coils sagged in about a month.

I plan to do the 3" OME system with shackles and 1" coil spacer. and Bilstein shocks

If you have access to the tools and someone with a bender I would just make my own long arm kit.!! I have a real issue that you can build a long arm kit for less than 600$ yet a company charges 900 to 2000 for a kit. I understand it's labor cost but you can buy the joints from Ruffstuff in Sacramento, CA and the buy the steel locally and if you have a welder or know someone that does then you can make a nice kit for easily less than 600$.

You might wanna check out www.Ironrockoffroad.com They have a huge following with ZJ's and WJ's... More and more XJ's are running them. I have seen the kit in person and it's huge. The caster adjustment is really smart and simple. everyone is afraid of the bolt coming out but it's no different then a stock control arm.
