Nevermind, I found my own answer, I was completely wrong on the purpose of the build. Its not the Film Crew rig, that was the Nissan.

You obviously know little about the income level of some of the members of this forum or our level of ability, so do not make assumptions based on your own situation. Oh, and we use proper grammar as well....
oh yea, and let me add that because you have 1200+ posts and live in Utah, that makes you the most experianced and quailified person on this forum, right?? What is your level of ability/background? I make the assumption that based off your avatar, you at least know how to drive off a cliff.
You said nothing wrong; he often responds negatively to any post in order to illicit a response but is most often ignored as you'll see. That's just Black ZJ's way... not worth wasting the electrons.
Instead of bashing Ian and his show here, shoot him a email. We worked with Ian and Extreme 4x4 while I worked for Tony at GenRight and he is a great guy, yes he will go off the deep end but that makes for good TV. Again voice your feelings to him compose a email and send it off.:coffeedrink:
The former host of Trucks was Stacey David. He left the show to start his own show Gearz on Speed. The story I heard was that he was tired of pimping parts he didn't believe in just because the advertisers wanted their stuff on every episode. I also heard he had some personality conflicts with some of the production end of things. Just one of those things that wasn't working out I guess.
Jessi is still around. She has a new show coming out on Velocity which is basically an all-girl fab-shop :Wow1:
In the grand scheme of things I think they do a good mix of bolt on projects, custom-fab, and fab-mod work. Not everyone has the abilty or time to fab everything from scratch. I for one can't weld and don't have anything to fab with. I pay attention to both Trucks and xtreme for that reason since both give me a lot of good info. I do think they do get out on the trails a lot more now than they did last year. I think (at least for xtereme) it took them a while to reestablish the show after Jessi left.
Anyway, I have met both Ian (from xtereme) and Kevin (current host on Trucks) and both are top-notch guys. If you don't get CRAWL magazine, you should since Ian is a major contributor to that magazine and it is a little more "hardcore" and fabrication oriented than any other 4x4 magazine out there. Not sure what all Kevin has his fingers in right now, but I know he has a slew of "how-to" videos for body work stuff out there.
Preaching to the choir. I run 2" of lift and 31s open/open with stock axles. I would eventually like to bump to 33s, but I love going places on 31s that people think I can't go. :smiley_drive:
well said and great idea. All though I did not bash him myself, or at least I dont think I did, I just might shoot him an email anyway. From watching the show, he seems like he would be a nice guy to know and someone that would go out of his way to lend you a hand, a real friend. That aside, my issue is with the few that have a narrow mindset, and are bashing from there.
The budget Cherokee was a 5G budget, and as a matter of fact once the show aired we put together a package with the guys at 4wp to offer the entire package at just under 5G including shipping.....
As for the Grand....I know it was not the ideal Expo rig, but that was not it sole purpose. It was to have a good dual purpose rig that could haul the dedicated expo trailer.
Now the Tacoma that I just finished is truly an Expo rig......someone said there was a thread on here about it but I cannot find it.
