It should be clarified that the navigation on the FTM-400 (and FTM-350 before it) is direct. There is no base map or understanding of tracks, trails or waypoints like you might assume on a GPS receiver. The direction heading is always pointing you on a straight line to your destination.
We should know that no one likes to read I mainly did it for those unfamiliar with HAM and their capabilities. Most amateur radio enthusiasts will find it boring and a "rehash"...
