Yakima or Thule bars/system for BajaRack?

Which style will work better with the BajaRack MegaMule? The round Yakima or the rectangle Thule bars?

Which do you use and what are your likes and dislikes with the system?

Thanks for the info.

I have used Thule racks for years. Never had a problem, and I have overloaded them more than a few times.

Thule (being made in Europe) is built with better quality than Yakima.

x2 I've had literally 5-600lbs static on two thule bars with me, my wife and our maggiolina.

Those same bars are on my XJ now, and I'm planning on getting a third bar to support the center of a rack like the megamule.

(Although, I'm currently test driving a yakima cargo box on my thule bars that is pretty pimp)

I've had both Thule and Yakima and never had a problem with the bars. Most accessories swap between the two brands. I still have all my Thule accessories on my Yakima bars. Shop around for the best price and treat the unfinished steel inside the bars for added rust protection and keep the mounting bolts greased up if you live in the rust belt.
