Maxama10,

If you are in fallon you can come and check out my trailer if you want. just send me a private message.

According to some, I should not have been able to pull you out since I do not have the Hemi swap on my jeep!!!:ylsmoke::ylsmoke:

I have now proved 2 things, you can tow in the mountains with a v6 JK and pull a guy out for the snow!! :victory:

Jim

I'm in Reno, but I appreciate the offer. Maybe next time I'm in Fallon we can meet up. You don't do Helo tours do you? :coffeedrink: (just kidding...)

Good job, Hela James! It is nice to see that there are still some of us out there who will stop to help someone for nothing more than because it is the right thing to do.

Thats' why I go armed

You gotta be careful of strangers kindly offering to winch you out. A friend of mine got his YJ high centered on a tree laying over on the ground and was out there all alone scratching his head trying to figure out how to get himself off with no tools or anything when some guys in a big red neck truck came by and pulled him off.....then robbed him. They took his wallet and watch and phone and the book of CDs he had in the jeep and called it payment for their towing service. Thats why we never go out without at least a hi lift and tow straps and a shovel, winches and a chain saw and other odds and ends make life a lot easier, and a second vehicle is your best friend.

That's why I carry a S&W 357.

Great story Maxama10. You got a little taste of what we call a "Jeep thing." And you met one of the good ones.

HelaJames, thanks for doing us proud.

I also echo what boellis87 said about leaving someone stranded. We don't do that around these parts either under normal circumstances.

This is a major reason why I love the Jeep community. We are prepared to repair.. and love doing it.
Big tires on big trucks still get stuck. I can't believe they left you there... BS

Kudos to you Mr. JK Tentrax

Pay it forward Taco Man

As for the two trucks that took off, it was right next to the highway which was only maybe a 10 minute walk from Austin, Nevada. Not too big of a deal.

It may not have been that big of a deal.....buuuuuut safety is a big deal. Anything could happen at any time. What if they had left, and the stuck driver had frozen to death? If you can provide assistance you should. I don't totally believe in karma, but I do believe that what goes around comes around. It wasn't entirely responsible for them to leave a stranded motorist on the side of the road.
