Love having fun 😊 in the 🌞 by the ⛵ and the ⏳
You got lucky with that buy...however as the sticker shows you have R12 refrigerant 2.1 oz, so be careful when you open her up. No longer available or legal in Kanukistan or Yanksville. However, it is still available in MX at most AC shops and cheap!

BTW..Paul's number is also toll free at (888) 272 9838 (In USA only) they do that to aggravate us Kanuks! He is also available on Skype at pbkalin (Skype name) for a free call.

I'm not 100% sure its completely gone here in the states, as of a year or two ago some shops still had access to it, manufactures just can't produce more of it and it requires a license (such as a refer repairman would have) to purchase at the auto parts stores. I'm sure they are eventually working to a complete R134a changeover and that date may have come?

Score D! You're going to love not having to deal with finding more ice, draining the ice melt, eating soggy sandwiches, etc. As for the cover...just have a boat or auto upholstery shop make you one...or bribe your favorite seamstress :)

Looks like an older 39L model to me. If you have trouble gassing it up with R12, I've heard LPG will do the job better than R134a

Thanks dudes!

I am pretty pumped about the fridge and can't wait to take it on a run. I poked around the compressor and didn't see a great place to tap into the system. I was only going to add some refigerant if it didn't cool that well-- and I can order the R12 through work still. I can use Freeze 12 in it's place but I don't think it works as well.

39 quarts seems about right, I haven't actually measured it, but I hope it is in line with a newer model so I can get a transit bag.

Ken- I might take you up on that aluminum lid that sounds pretty good. When I'm in your 'hood I'll stop by and compare it to your 32 (35?) qt and see if a Engel/ARB bag will fit.

Thanks,

Dylan

I took the fridge to school with me the other day in my Explorer and picked up groceries. The fridge worked out great, it kept everything super cold on about the 2.3 setting. I am pumped about this thing. I still need to meet up with 450DUDE and check the transit bag fit.
