I use a old stainless fire extinguisher, take of the rubber hose and screw on a
quick disconect air chuck, go to home depot and buy a coiled air compressor
hose with male and female fittings next head over to the garden department
and find your favorite shower head. what i do like about this set up is that it holds a good amount of water and if you want warm water you can have a canvas shop make you up a black canvas boot. I warms water good enough
to keep the wife happy. I just roll around in the dirt like a pig!! ha ha:victory:

Has anyone had any trouble using these at high elevation? I tried it on our trip to the Huachucas, somewhere around 8000 feet and it only got up to 80 degrees or so. I kinda forgot about it and tried it again the other night around 8000 or so and the same thing.

I did a few searches and came up empty. It is interesting to note though that the Zodi site says their burner/valve is designed for high elevation use.

Am I doing something wrong? Is my burner defective? Or is 5000 feet high elevation to the Zodi engineers. I need to figure something out since so much of our camping in the summers out west is at high elevation.

Just returned today from a high elevation trip where I used my Zodi at 9K-ft, on the N. Rim of the Grand Canyon. The first day I took the water from my Scepter (which I left in the shade) from 60 degrees to 100 in 15 min. Got smart on the third day and left my Scepter can in the sun all day and the water was 90 in the can (ambient afternoon air temp, 70 degrees) and went to 100 with the Zodi burner in 5 min. I have seen no problem with altitude and using the stock Zodi burner...with the understanding that all things take longer to heat with an increase in altitude, you just might have a defective burner.

I must have a defective burner because I had it on for at least 20 or 30 minutes starting from 70 degrees or so and only got to 80 the first day. I was able to put the can on the burner in the FWC and got it to a toasty 110 (Alice likes REALLY hot showers). Thanks for the input everybody! Guess I need to contact Zodi to see what they can/will do for me.
