Picture ith the lift, noticeably higher and a great stance for me

It was a long road to finally get the lift in, but definitely worth it.

Next up, LED lights and sliders, not necessarily in that order

:iagree: looks great! :luxhello:

Anymore pics and height measurements?

Shoot I just passed oakville on the way back from Niagra Falls. I could've stopped by lol. "Going back to Cali" tomorrow :)

I have som more pics. Most on the camera and will be posted tomorow. I do have a coouple others I will put up.

I am actually in Welland at the in laws, about 20 minutes from Niagara falls.

The fenders all sit at just about 36.5 " and closer to 37 " in the back

Wow you got it pretty level. Looks sharp. :26_7_2:Mine is almost 1.5 inches higher in the rear but sits close to level when I load it down.

Which suspension setup are you running? I'm glad I was able to get it even but I may still bring the front down a little bit depending on how it settles over time. I just don't want to wait too long to get alignment done.

I have the AC 3 inch lift with revolver shakles . I wouldn't wait too long to get an alignment either .

Yeah I am going to get it done tomorrow. I ran the new t bars at stock height for 2 weeks already but now that they are cranked up it should get done asap.

Does the AC lift come ith the sway away tosion bars?

I was concerned about the gap with the bump stop but there was tonnes of room. Is that only an issue with cranking stock t bars?

I know that tbars are sort of old tech but you can't help but admire the simplicity and it is so nice to be able to change the front ride height with a few cranks of a wench.

Everyone loves pictures...

Not the greatest picture but this shows old versus new, you can see where the old was broken clean in two, turns out both were actually broken this bad

Drivers side, you can see the extra spring they put it, its a different colour

Passenger side

Passenger side shackle, which is still in good shape. lots of rust everywhere but such is life in the rust belt

Here are a few completion shots

This one really shows the difference well

Rear tire is a little stuffed here

This is about the best angle I can come up with for a before/after comparison, not the best but you can definitely tell its higher

Before

After

Yup same Tbars . As long as you have at least a half inch gap on your bump stops you are fine. After leveling the truck by adjusting the tbars my bump stop gaps were not even but the truck sits nice and even from left to right at the front and back.

Yes there is lots to like about the older engineering on these rigs. That was the draw for me , easy to work on and not a lt to go wrong.

I actually have 2-3" of gap at the bump stops, is that too much?

after a day of driving at looking at it, the front seems like it is slightly higher than the back, I might have to bring it down just a touch to level it out, but its pretty close.

The simple engineering was also a draw, i am by no means a mechanic, the simpler the better. That was also the reasoning behind avoiding the supercharger. The extra power would have been nice, but the simplicity of a naturally aspirated engine is also nice.

The bump stop you have to worry about is on the upper control arm for the down travel. I don't think you would have more than an inch of space there with the new tbars in and a bit of lift . But I could be wrong. The down travel is the one you need to worry about because it is there to limit the working angle of the front axels and as long as there is enough space to put a finger through you are good but with less lift you will likely have a bigger gap which is just fine and easier on your front axles in the long run.

would i be able to see that looking from the front of the truck? that is what i have been looking at, perhaps the wrong spot.

Oh ya , and happy Canada Day!

happy Canada day to you too!
