Thanks Metcalf, good advice, well taken.
I have been watching this thread, I'm trying to pull off Moab and will be a first timer to the area. I also need help picking a few trails to run. My rig is not a rock buggy but it's set up okay. 37" tires, Bead locks, ARB lockers, chromoaxles in the rear and RCVs /PR44 in the front, PSC hydro Ect. Below I'd a list of trails I would like to run? Also if anyone has a camping location that is centrally located.?(Dry or RV camp ground)
Metal masher, Golden Spike, Steel bender, Moab Rim and Seven Mile.
During EJS. I would not want to tackle those trails unless was with someone who had ran them beforehand. I do not typically wheel in large groups but I have in the past. Going is slow and can be even stopped when someone breaks.
Since there are so many of us Moab "virgins" attending, maybe we should do some trails together. Seams like we are all kinda on the same page as far as vehicle limits and capacities.
Are you doing the Mojave Rd on the same week of EJW? I have ran the road both ways and camped for two days and three days. It never gets old. Take your time and take the side trails.
