About two years ago I purchased my 2004 AC SR5 Tundra. Bought it off Craigslist completely stock. It came with 142,000 miles.

Here is a picture of the truck after a couple of months.

Since then I have put a leveling kit on the truck with new wheels and tires.

Things I have planned for the truck.

- All-Pro Offroad Rock Sliders
- Camper Shell
- Front Runner Slimeline roof rack
- Tepui Tent
- ARB Air Locker with compressor

Very clean rig! This is now like 1st Gen Tundra HQ.

What size tires are you running? Slimline over the cab? Damn, I have been debating that option also.

I'm running 285/75/16 and yeah I like the look of a rack on the cab and the slimline racks are not tall like other racks

Just gotta drill into the roof! I was talking to Front Runner at one point about it, and that's what scares me. I mean you could mount the slimline on top of some Yakima crossbars or something but then its no longer low profile anymore.

When mounting the roof rack, just make sure you drill into the grooves covered by the rubber stripping. This is where it's the thickest and the best location to hard mount the footings for the rack.

Look forward to your build.

Thanks for the info guys. Really appreciate it. Drilling into the truck will for sure be scary.
