Thanks for the info guys. Really appreciate it. Drilling into the truck will for sure be scary.

Not too bad, use a center punch and use a small drill bit to ensure you are drilling where you need to. I had my roof rack above the cab and decided to remove it. I plug up the holes with rubber grommets and RTV sealant. I may decide to add it back depending on what I do with the rack above my contractor shell.

Yeah I will do a lot of measuring and double checking before any hole or cuts are made haha

How much is that Slimline going for, if you don't mind me asking?

On the Front Runner website Im not seeing any roof racks anymore only bed racks. The roof racks for other vehicles range between 900-1000 which is pretty pricy. I might just try to fab something up myself.

That is pricey. Having it be aluminum makes it really nice and light. If you can weld aluminum, that might be the best bet.

The rack I used were from pallet racks. I used unitstrut tubing for the frame work and Thule feet/bars. If I were to do it again, I would not use the feet/bars and mount it closer to the cab. I mainly used it for my spare tire, shovel, ax, hilift and to mount lights. Plus it was more difficult for someone to steal it. Now I have the shell to lock things up.

Yeah we will see. I think I'm going to just do a bed rack instead and leave the can alone
