The 12HT (correct me if I've got that designation wrong) verion that was also sold in the 60 was not just a 2H with a snail on the side, it had different internals, as shown in comparison photos in a magazine a while back - i forget which.

The 12HT and 13BT are direct injection, the 2H and 3B are indirect injection. I believe that was the only difference, but I´m not 100% sure.
I used to own an HJ60 and I loved it! It could do with a 5speed though, it was revving a bit hard on the highway.
But, I was getting about 11ltr-100km when I was doing 55mph, so economy is great. It´s a bit of a tractor engine, slow but lots of torque.
Don´t know what the 2F is like though, I prefer diesels.
A 60 is awesome, simple, robust, reliable and comfy. If you look at what the Australians drive, it´s all 80 and 100 series. But if you look what the aboriginals drive, you´ll see LOTS of 60 series, very neglected but they just don´t die.
